Has everyone enjoyed watching the red wave not arrive?

The Senate looks to have remained under Democrat control (assuming no Republican troublemaking over the races that have been called) but there's still a run-off in Georgia. Winning that would mean Senate business would suffer less from being held hostage by the usual suspects. So let's keep moving forwards with that!

Warnock's fundraiser is at:

You can find links for the posts that were made for the 2020 run off at the comm's Georgia tag:

(I haven't checked the links in the posts to see which still apply.)

The House looks like it will end up in Republican control — just. Which somewhat limits their ability to introduce and progress bad legislation. (Although I'm sure we'll be hearing plenty about Hunter Biden's laptop and other similar nonsense in special investigation committees.)

At this point, it looks like the main need for House races is any remaining ballot-curing work, so please leave links for that if you have them.

And, of course, please let us know about any other actions we can take.

Finally, let's celebrate those governor and state legislature wins, the rejection of abortion restrictions at state level and all the other good stuff that happened!

I got email a couple of days ago from the Postcards to Voters site, saying "we have fresh Georgia addresses." That's an opportunity, if anyone wants to do something in the next week or so.

I'm pretty sure there's a poem somewhere in the red wave not arriving because of fearing potential consequences if the monthly red wave doesn't arrive, but I haven't quite found it yet

I am LOVING watching all of these Dem wins roll in. :)

Vote Forward is writing letters to Georgia voters for the runoff, if anyone is interested in joining in! https://votefwd.org/posts/Georgia-Runoff-campaigns-2022

While I haven't kept tabs on all the election results from last week, what I can tell you is that the incumbent governor for Illinois won a second term. This is great news for the Dems, myself included. One thing which he did that I'm especially impressed with is the Stay-At-Home order during the climax of the COVID19 pandemic/indemic. I read elsewhere online that his Republican opponent was just ten or eleven votes behind, so it sounds like this was a close one. But in the end JB Pritzker prevailed, which is good indeed. I think next week I'll have more quality time to myself, as I'll be flying solo up here so I'll be able to get more done. But speaking of the Republicans and the pandemic, it seems a neighbor of mine is going to a COVID hot-spot.
