Intel and now Land O'Lakes have pulled funding from him after pressure (because he's an overt white nationalist who hangs out with and endorses Nazis):
Bloomberg: Land O’Lakes Pulls Support for Iowa Congressman Steve King Over Racial Remarks
JuddLegum is keeping track and linking to companies that are still funding him: https://twitter.com/JuddLegum/status/1057299815443390469
ETA: Aaaaand Purina's out.
Meanwhile, a recent poll has King's opponent J. D. Scholten within a point of him, FiveThirtyEight have significantly changed their odds, and the Cook Report has switched IA-4 from "likely Republican" to "lean Republican".

Date: 2018-10-31 07:53 am (UTC)Even without the recent collapse of King's funding, Scholten's been absolutely crushing it -- he massively outfundraised King, he got the endorsement of the Sioux City Journal (the first time ever they've not endorsed King), and he comes across in all profiles as extremely impressive.
This is totally going to be a scene in the movie, right?

“I got introduced to a guy at the Sioux County fair,” he explains as he drives down a rural road in his Winnebago. “The guy was obviously not a Democrat. He started talking about Trump and went straight into his hole. He said the worst things you can say about a human being about Hillary Clinton, started using slurs. I lost it on him. I might have cursed a few times. I said, ‘Listen, you may never vote for me, that’s fine. But I’m going to beat Steve King. And when I do, I’m going to come back to the Sioux County fair, and I’ll look you straight in the eye when I talk about issues and what I voted on. Can you say that about your representative now? No.”
Scholten made a left into Estherville. “When I got done, he was thrown back a bit. And then he said, ‘I’ll have to check out your website.’”
Whether he wins or not, I think he's going to change perceptions of what districts can be made competitive, and how.
OH WOW OH WOW
