I don't have an easily accessible link, but an incredibly unimportant New York state court, the Appellate Division First Department, ruled in Zervos v. Trump, No. 150522/17, that an "Apprentice" contestant's sexual harassment suit against Trump can proceed while he's still the president. I mean, it's probably going to be overruled instantly, but there's going to be a ton of nuisance value in everybody and her pet cat suing Trump.

Date: 2019-03-14 06:31 pm (UTC)Possibly relevant: the highest court in New York state is called the Court of Appeals; the Appellate division is below that, and takes appeals from a variety of city and county courts with sometimes-confusing names (including "State Supreme Court," which is not a court of appeals). (This seemed weirder before I moved to Massachusetts, where the "general court" is our legislature and the highest court as usually understood is the "Supreme Judicial Court.")
