STOCK UP ON SPICES.
Not only is Penzeys an amazingly liberal walk-the-walk company but their spices are DELICIOUS. If you're a novice cook, try their mixes, you won't be sorry. And their curries are so amazing I am convinced they have someone Desi on their staff. It's really worth spending $20 or $30 to buy spices by mail, trust me, as both a liberal and a cook.

I've been taking a couple of weeks off to take care of myself after all the postcard parties in October, but I just want to share my utter joy at the Louisiana governor's race. Trump held THREE rallies there in the last five weeks, and WE STILL WON!!!

We also eked out enough wins to keep the Republicans from having super-majorities in the state legislature. So not only will they be able to keep their Medicaid expansion (which the Republican legislature keeps trying to tank), but we'll have a say in the new redistricting maps after the 2020 census! State legislatures matter!
