Hello everyone,

It was great connecting with you all on Monday night.

Control of the House of Representatives is in the balance and we have the chance to put the issues we care about -- gun violence prevention legislation, protecting DREAMers, climate action, and protecting health care or the Supreme Court fight -- front and center in this election and make sure we hold our officials accountable at the voting booth.

That is why we are Organizing for ’18.

No matter where you live or what issue you care about, you can and should be participating. We are asking all of you to ask your network to commit to vote on the issue that matters to them. We need to reach out to our friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors to remind them to make their voices heard and hold their elected officials accountable in 2018!

Actions you can take to make a difference:

Get five of your friends to commit to vote online: ofa.us/vote-2018

Host a commit to vote tabling event in your community.

Host a voter registration event in your community to provide the opportunity for your neighbors to register themselves to vote. Participants can use our online voter registration portal. Be sure to review our voter registration DOS and DONT’s and email us if you have any questions at organizing@ofa.us.

Join the 2018 Summer Fellowship. The application deadline is Wednesday, July 11 -- apply today!

If you need a couple more days to apply, just let us know! Email us at organizing@ofa.us

If you are in a priority district or state, then join Team ’18 to help elect representatives who share our values.

The students behind March for our Lives are traveling across the country on their “Road to Change.” They are registering and motivating young people -- "it’s time to turn the energy into action.” www.marchforourlives.com/tour

Call a key representative, right now, and tell them to demand bipartisan legislation that permanently protects DREAMers, and fully reverses this cruel policy of family separation: https://www.ofa.us/stand-with-immigrants

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt has resigned under the clouds of numerous investigations into his conduct. But even with him gone, this administration won’t act on climate. That’s why OFA has joined with the People’s Climate Movement, 350.org, Sierra Club and many others to co-sponsor the September 8th day of action for “Climate, Jobs, and Justice.” Find an event near you here. If there isn’t one, sign up to be a host! Here is OFA’s guidance and the coalition toolkit.

Your senators need to hear from you on where you stand on this administration’s Supreme Court nominee. Use OFA’s call tool to get in touch with them here.
