Good news from Kansas on abortion rights. (Bad news from Indiana — boo.) Good news that the "Inflation Reduction Act" (which also has measures to mitigate climate change) is likely to move forwards. And Alex Jones not only has to pay significant damages to some of the Sandy Hook parents (in the first of a number of cases) but, thanks to his lawyers screwing up, his phone records are likely to end up in the hands of the January 6 committee. That's more good news than we often get, so let's not forget to celebrate the wins, even as we work to prevent the losses.

Here are the posts we've had in the comm since the last check in.

S.2992 (American Innovation and Choice Online Act)
Amend Title IX to better protect trans and nonbinary students

And here's the usual reminder to not be shy of making your own posts about any issues and actions you think the comm should know about, or dropping some information into a comment to our sticky post if you'd like the mods to do it.

You can always use our tags to check for any ongoing actions or resources relevant to the issues you care about. (And a quick shout out to [personal profile] redbird for all the tagging work that keeps the comm running smoothly.)

Finally, here's our poll (behind the cut) for you to tell us what you've been doing in the last few weeks. And do let us know in comments what you plan to do next.
