Well, May has been a "fun" month: gun violence, Roe v Wade (and the implications of the leaked draft for other rights) and the latest Republican plans to enmesh themselves in corrupting the voting process.

Time for a deep breath and a moment to reset, before getting back to doing what each of us is able to.

Here are the posts we've had in the comm since the last check in on Roe v Wade. Some of these events are past, but the linked organisations have ongoing ways to be involved.

Michigan Pro-Abortion Rights Ballot Initiative
Two Roe-Related Resistbot Petitions
Events Supporting Roe
Ttrpgs For Reproductive Rights

And here is the other post that has been made in the last month.

Hey, This Bill Would Let Disabled People Do Things Like Get Married Without Losing SSI!

As we're getting closer to mid-term elections, I just wanted to remind everyone that we have a roundup of election resources. Please feel free to add new resources or let me know of any that should be removed from the list.

And the usual reminder to not be shy of making your own posts about any issues and actions you think the comm should know about, or dropping some information into a comment to our sticky post if you'd like the mods to do it.

You can always use our tags to check for any ongoing actions or resources relevant to the issues you care about. (And a quick shout out to [personal profile] redbird for all the tagging work that keeps the comm running smoothly.)

Finally, here's our poll (behind the cut) for you to tell us what you've been doing in the last few weeks. And do let us know in comments what you plan to do next.

I became a blood donor ambassador for the American Red Cross (checking people in for appointments).

I explained to mom-in-law why my income counts against husband getting SSI or Medicaid. (Everyone please call about that new law!)

My father built and assembled a hutch for my kitchen, and I now have more space in there. I also helped most of my building mates to organize a bunch of pictures into an album.
