Activist communities for other countries

notasupervillain asked in a comment on another post if we knew of any communities similar to this one for UK activism. I thought I'd make a top level post, as I know we have other members from the UK who may be able to provide an answer and may not see that comment.

And as we have members from other countries outside the US (*waves at Canadians* Not sure which other countries are represented!), I thought I'd throw the question open even wider and make this a general resource post for people to share links to any local activist communities they'd recommend.

Communities don't have to be on Dreamwidth -- any group with a (positive!) online presence somewhere for sharing ideas and actions is good. :-)

MoveOn Big Ideas Forum June 1

I don't know if we can post events for a particular candidate or not? But this is, as it were, multi-candidate. MoveOn.org is holding a "Big Ideas Forum" in San Francisco on June 1, with eight Democratic candidates speaking: in alphabetical order, Booker, Castro, Gillibrand, Harris, Klobuchar, O'Rourke, Sanders, and Warren. There will be an online livestream, starting 12:45 pm PT, 1:45 MT, 2:45 CT, 3:45 ET:

The announcement says each candidate will share one "big idea": "a bold, visipnary, transformative proposal or policy that could tackle the most-pressing crises we face and push our country forward." Each candidate gets five minutes, followed by a discussion moderated by the hosts and questions from MoveOn members.
