Trump must abide by SCOTUS in the case of Abrego Garcia: Contact your Representative

When the Supreme Court has made a decision, as it has in the case of the wrongfully-deported Abrego Garcia, the response from the Executive cannot be "Nah." If there is no check on Trump, even in the case of his hand-picked court saying he's wrong, the Constitution is no longer functional.


I am appalled by the failure of the Executive Branch to follow the law in the case of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia. The Supreme Court has made the law clear, and the Executive is not acting, leaving a man who deserves the presumption of innocence in mortal danger.

In the absence of checks and balances, the United States is no longer a democracy. I demand that you impeach President Trump immediately on the grounds that he is failing to adhere to the Supreme Court's decision. Every day that Congress does not remove him, the country suffers.

Call and hound your senators and reps about this, especially if you're in a Republican district, or even better hound them at town halls if they are having them. There is footage circulating of a Grassley Town Hall where his constituents are grilling him about this. We really need this everywhere.

I called Van Hollen's office to thank him for his planned trip to El Salvador. I then called both my senators and asked that they publicly support him in any way possible. Let's stop this.

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].

I'm calling about the Kilmar Abrego Garcia situation. I'm just really scared and concerned by the fact that the Trump administration is disappearing people now. He's mentioned that he wants to do the same thing to civilians, which is harrowing and blatantly unconstitutional. The fact that they're defying the Supreme Court and just refusing to bring Abrego Garcia back is literally a constitutional crisis.

Our representatives all swore to defend the Constitution. They have a legal and especially a moral obligation to do that now.

I’m calling to urge [REP/SEN NAME] to join Senator Van Hollen and work to rescue Kilmar Abrego Garcia from El Salvador. I also ask that they

1. forcefully speak out against Trump’s unconstitutional plan to send US citizens, which he calls "homegrown criminals," to a foreign gulag, (and)
2. demand a complete shutdown of all detainees being sent to foreign prisons, (and)
3. hold the administration accountable for defying orders by the Supreme Court by filing articles of impeachment for Trump and other Cabinet officials responsible for this unconstitutional act.

If the Trump administration is able to traffic an innocent man like Abrego Garcia to a foreign gulag, they will be emboldened to do the same to others. This terrifying and evil practice needs to be stopped now.
