Several members have expressed the hope that we'll be keeping this comm running.
tassosss and I hardly needed to consult each other to agree that of course we're going to do that. :-) You, our members, have done an amazing job of building what we have here — thank you for all the hope and support, as well as practical help, that you've provided. A special shout out here to
redbird for handling tagging from the early days.
For the next couple of months, until the inauguration, we'll likely be focusing on the run-off races in Georgia and any issues with the recounts and transition. We'll keep the check-in posts to every two weeks.
After that, we'll probably be more focused on:
Obviously there'll still be individual issues to campaign about and respond to, but let us know in comments if there's anything else you think we should be covering. (
tassosss will be putting up a new top sticky post to reflect how the comm will change a bit once Trump is out of office.)
We'll also probably drop the frequency of the check in posts to once a month — but don't worry, we know many people like them, so we'll keep doing them.
Please also let us know if you'd like to volunteer to help run the comm — the main tasks beyond bringing relevant new content to the comm (which any member can do) are making check in posts, tagging and just generally keeping an eye on things.
Onward and upward!

After that, we'll probably be more focused on:
- GOTV, voting registration, voting rights and community engagement
- opposing gerrymandering during redistricting
- winning state-level races (plus there'll be mid-terms to be fought in two years — eek!)
- encouraging more diversity in candidates
Obviously there'll still be individual issues to campaign about and respond to, but let us know in comments if there's anything else you think we should be covering. (
