Call script

teaotterI've been having trouble keeping up with the latest issues to call about, so I created a more general script that I can just keep using. This is what I used today for calling my reps:
My name is [name], I’m a constituent here in [town name], [ZIP code].
I am calling to express my concerns about the blatantly illegal actions that the Trump Administration is taking to dismantle government agencies that were created and maintained by acts of congress. I am also concerned that the Republican majorities in congress are refusing to stop those illegal actions and rein in the administration.
This is not “business as usual” and cannot be treated that way. I ask the [Senator/Congresswoman] to refuse to participate in negotiations for the budget or the debt ceiling until the Republicans in Congress take steps to rein in the administration’s blatantly illegal actions.
