I'm pretty sure the entire point of the citizenship question is to begin the process of shifting apportionment/representation/money away from states like California who vote for Democrats to states like Montana who vote for Republicans. Depressing the count in Blue states is a goal, not a bug. The next step will be to only count the number of U.S. citizens when apportioning representatives to Congress. It's hard to do that without an accurate count of how many citizens reside in each state.
I'll add my voice, but I think it's a done deal. Not to sound cynical, but why would any member of the Trump administration, let alone that weasel Wilbur Ross, care what I think about this matter?
