Reunite an immigrant parent with their child
Money raised goes into their bond fund and providing legal representation.
CNN: $4,000 a minute pours in to help reunite separated immigrant families (warning for autoplaying audio of crying children being separated from their families)
They couple who started the fundraiser were initially aiming for $1500 -- they've now raised over $8 million and are aiming for $11 million.
ETA: now over $10 million, aiming for $15 million.
Very good FAQ, including recs for other ways to help, including details on rallies and contacting representatives: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RTxk4mfg7f9E_Or1y9GFg9BtindehUOmGwIzlDle7LY/edit#heading=h.gh20iccux1mx
In comments on my DW, I was discussing how easy it is to feel overwhelmed and immobilized by the sheer level of evil; sometimes it can be easier to act on things that are less horrific. Stories like this can be an antidote to the frozenness, and so can make it easier to act (in ways including but not limited to donating). So if that makes sense to you, consider passing it on.
