Today I registered voters at the rally and march for March For Our Lives in Santa Clarita, CA. It was a large-for-the-area, enthusiastic crowd, full of teenagers, children, and parents.

In CA and some other states you can pre-register to vote at age 16, and will be automatically registered when you turn 18. I met a lot of teenagers raring at the bit to vote.

Did any of you attend a march?

My daughter is kind of cranky about looking at dates and realizing that she won't be able to vote in 2020 because she won't turn 18 until 2021. I've told her that I sympathize because I was 17 in November of 1984 and definitely had opinions about elections, federal, state, and local.

Yep! I attended in Madison, WI. Large, diverse, peaceful crowd; families, single folks, friendly dogs, groups of friends. And a voter registration table that was both well-staffed and quite busy!

I remember being thoroughly bummed at not being able to vote in 2000's election... darned age 16.
