Effects of any ACA repeal will be huge

What the ACA Does for People Insured Through Their Employer.

Because it doesn't just affect people who buy their insurance through the exchanges.

"People who get insurance through their employers – an estimated 150 million Americans – may also lose consumer protections they have come to expect from their job-based plans." [emphasis mine]

That's 46% of the US population! (150 million of about 325 million, if my sources are right).

Add in the 20 million who bought through the exchanges, and you're talking more than 50% of the US population.

Well, look on the bright side: insurance companies have already made insurance pretty much a Roach Motel: your premiums check in, benefits don't check out! so there's not THAT much difference between never getting a raise because your employer gets ripped off, having to spend a considerable part of your salary on premiums, and having to pay deductibles and coinsurance if you can actually find a doctor who takes your insurance, and NOT having insurance.

Nobody's stopping insurers from changing networks whenever they feel like it and then disallowing your "out of network" claim, or from refusing to cover your prescription because its price is too gross a rip-off.
