Why Education May Be the Issue That Breaks Republicans’ Decade-Long Grip on Wisconsin (New Yorker)

Activists push to re-legalize affirmative action in Washington state (Seattle Times)

Missouri just showed that unions are winning again (Vice). I would have liked a much longer look at this topic, with more sources. If anyone has come across one, that'd be great to drop in the comments.

I recently read another article about the resuscitation of unions, but I'll be damed if I can find it. If you do a news search in google, something might come up. It was only a couple of weeks ago, at most.

I've been a union member before, and they can sometimes be a pain in the ass. They make it nearly impossible to fire anyone who is incompetent, or even a sexual predator. But I do believe the pros far outweigh the cons. Without unions, we would not have a middle class, and the decline of unions has gone hand-in-hand with declining incomes.
