Useful how-to guide for dissemination

ProPublica: Voting in America Is WILD. Here’s How to Plan Ahead.

ETA: bless them, they've changed "NUTS" to "WILD". As a mentally ill person, I personally don't object to a lot of the colloquial uses of "crazy" etc., but I appreciate that they're trying to be thoughtful and presumably listening to feedback.

Monday night massacre?

Rosenstein is apparently either resigning or being fired or expects to be fired; unclear (but very important) which, since it affects Trump's ability to install a replacement (and whether the Rapid Response plan kicks in -- which it does if he's fired).

Talking Points Memo, [twitter.com profile] joshtpm and [twitter.com profile] NatashaBertrand seem to be on the ball with updates.

If he's fired, or if he is replaced and his replacement fires Mueller or otherwise tries to shut down the investigation -- good luck to all USians and power to your protests.

ETA: Rosenstein appears to be in a state of quantum superposition (joke not original to me, alas) and not actually fired at present, at least until Thursday.

ETA2: I don't think this was a false alarm:

The Daily Beast: Trump Lawyers Demand Mueller Probe ‘Time Out’ if Rosenstein Is Ousted

Sekulow and Giuliani already have their scripts to say that that the investigation should be halted and "reviewed" if Rosenstein goes.

Whether Rosenstein's managed to bluff Buttercup into backing down until Thursday or what, who the fuck knows. But that would appear to be the game plan.

"It's 2018, do you know where your protest is?"

Excellent advice from [personal profile] watersword on how to prepare for a protest. I really like the idea to be sure to check that you know where your Rapid Response protest is, since MoveOn might crash (along with HALF THE INTERNET, no doubt).

ITA comfortable shoes and clothes are a must. Consider going with a prearranged group for safety in numbers. Maybe ask your local protest group to arrange for a legal observer. -- Any other suggestions?
