Hello Fine Crew Members,
It's just over a week until the end of Lent. How are you doing on your Giving Up On Giving Up?

I'm still keeping up with the news every day, appalling as it continues to be. I donated to Sport Relief (a UK charity drive). I gave a slightly belated British Science Week outreach talk to a girls' school in London.

Here's hoping you've had some successes, however small, as well!

I have definitely been struggling to do things (outside the small amount of prep for my social justice at staff meeting thing). I've kind of rocking the idea that self-care is a political act and working on taking care of myself.

I think this is an awesome idea, and doing so especially in the face of current negative pressures is most certainly an act of defiance.

Also, many kudos for carrying on with your social justice talks at staff meetings. :)
