Good point. I'd been interpreting the first item as including both writing to officials and GOTV work, but an explicit "get out the vote" answer is a good idea. I'm noting this for next month's poll, and will think about wording. (I copied most of these poll answers from tarascon's.)

My tentative thought is to change the "sent a postcard etc" to "contacted an elected official or government agency (by postcard, email, etc.)" and then either add GOTV stuff including postcarding to "worked for a campaign," or make a separate entry for get-out-the-vote work and also keep "worked for a campaign" as an answer.
