Some very good free coverage of legal matters can be found on Lexology.com (they cover pretty much everything, you get to pick which topics to follow) and the Brennan Center. My two favorite Substacks are Jessica Valenti's Abortion Every Day and Chris Geidner's Law Dork. The Economic Policy Institute has great coverage of, well, economic matters, and KFF.org (FKA the Kaiser Family Foundation) on health matters.
