I didn't count sending in my absentee ballot for the town elections, mostly because I forgot, but also because the largest argument in favor was that I want to encourage them to keep letting everyone vote absentee: there were no contested positions. (This is a local election for things like Select Board [1] and members of the town Library Committee.)

[1] a New England thing, which I don't really understand myself except that it's part of the elected town government.
