I would like to note that the Violence Against Women Act renewal passed the House this week, with a provision to expand the firearms ban to include misdemeanor domestic violence convictions (REALLY key, bc usually the conviction you get isn't for DV assault, it's for DV restraining order violation) and protections for trans folks.

I would encourage folks to look at how their reps voted, thank them if they voted in favor, and ask their senators to take it up in the Senate ASAP. These are critical protections for millions of women.
