I'm honestly starting to think that whenever he feels that people are being MEEEAAAN to him (which is almost all the time nowadays), he looks for a vulnerable group a) that he can kick, and b) in a way that'll play well with his (shrinking, ever-more-extreme-right) "base". Or the segment of it that'll turn up and bay at his rallies, at least.

I mean, I would genuinely believe that is absolutely, literally what happens.
